Sometimes you have to laugh to stop crying.
The Timberwolves (7-34) have equaled the worst start at the midway point of a season in franchise history. Seven wins accompanied by 34 losses was also the mark at the midway point for the 1991-92 and 2007-08 Wolves. This year’s team would probably have more victories if Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic hadn’t missed months of basketball because of injuries. But that’s the reality of the season.
Rubio (ankle/foot) is still out and there doesn’t seem to be a timetable for his return; Martin (wrist) was ruled out again for Friday’s home game against the New Orleans Pelicans; Pekovic (foot) just returned to the court earlier this week.
Kevin Martin says he's not yet ready to play, wore a brace on that shooting wrist as he left shootaround

Even as fun as Andrew Wiggins is to watch, or as appealing as Pelicans star Anthony Davis’ game is, there just isn’t a lot to look forward to with the Wolves right now.
Thankfully, Canis Hoopus created a Timberwolves Bingo of Sadness game. Please, take this card and play with your friends – and start enjoying Wolves games again.
