Kevin Love had 26 points, including a key 3-point shot near the end of the game, to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 104-102 victory over the Sacramento Kings Sunday night at Target Center.
Love hit three out of six 3-pointers, including one with 1:07 to play to give Minnesota a 97-95 lead, the Star Tribune reports.
Kevin Martin scored 31 points and rookie center Gorgui Dieng,who started in place of injured Nikola Pekovic, had his first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Derrick Williams scored 26 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for Sacramento, which has officially been eliminated from postseason contention. Isaiah Thomas had 27 points, including two 3-pointers in the final 15 seconds to keep it close.
The Wolves are 33-32 at this point in the season. That’s the most wins they’ve had since the 2005-’06 season, according to the Star Tribune.
