Bailey Ober struck out nine in five innings for the Twins, but he gave up five runs (four earned) on 11 hits and one walk. Jordan Balazovic pitched the seventh and eighth innings and was dinged for four runs (three earned) on six hits.
Minnesota trailed 9-5 after Max Kepler’s RBI single with two outs in the ninth, but Carlos Correa, who represented the tying run with the bases loaded, struck out swinging to end the game.
