It’s official, paper tickets are now a thing of the past for the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings announced this week that they’re shifting to mobile-only tickets for games and events, including training camp in Eagan this summer, going forward.
It’s part of an NFL policy that takes away the option to print PDF tickets to games.
Mobile tickets via smartphones were first available to Vikings fans in 2014. Tickets to 2018 events will be available for download on the Vikings app, which is available here for Apple and Android phones.
Fans can also get their tickets at vikings.com/tickets.

The Vikings think fans will enjoy the mobile-only tickets because the app also delivers real-time traffic information, which helps fans get to the game via the best routes possible. It also is a more secure way to deliver tickets, cutting down on counterfeit tickets that have been a problem with paper tickets.
Fans can also sell and transfer tickets to others via the app.
Training camp is free but tickets will be required because there’s a capacity of about 5,000 fans per practice/scrimmage. The team says it’ll start offering tickets later this month.
