Expect to pay a lot more than normal to go see the Gophers and North Dakota play in men’s hockey this year.
It’s been four years since the classic college hockey rivals have met in the regular season and with this year’s two-game series taking place Nov. 4-5 at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis, the ticket prices are a lot higher than any other game on the schedule.
The Gophers ticket office says individual tickets cost $70-$90 per game, but they won’t go on sale to the general public until Sept. 14. You can buy tickets to either game right now, but there’s a catch:
You have to buy tickets to three additional games in order to get tickets to just one Minnesota-UND game.
The cheapest option to get tickets right now will cost you $150 (that’ll get you into four games), according to the Fargo Forum.
So if you’re not ready to pony up for four games you might as well wait until Sept. 14 and hope you get through before they’re sold out.
And last but not least, you cannot call the ticket office right now and buy tickets to both games.
