After beating Atlanta on Tuesday night, Wolves forward Andrei Kirilenko said playing the Thunder on Wednesday night would be like a “two-on-five” game. He said that because Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are really good, and the Thunder typically rely on them to win. As it turned out, Kirilenko was right. The dynamic duo led the Thunder to a 106-84 win.
Durant scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Westbrook finished with 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
Minnesota was once again led by Nikola Pekovic and Alexey Shved. Pekovic had another double-double — 17 points and 10 rebounds. Shved finished with 18 points, 14 of them coming in the second quarter.
Derrick Williams started slowly but finished strong with 14 points and 11 rebounds. It was his third straight double-digit scoring game.
