The Oklahoma City Thunder cruised through Target Center and barely broke a sweat on Friday night as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-92.
Fresh off a 111-94 victory in Cleveland on Thursday night, the Thunder picked up right where they left off with a 39-point first quarter that buried the Wolves early on.
Russell Westbrook was unstoppable for Oklahoma City, he scored 34 points on 12-of-19 from the floor and also finished with six rebounds and six assists. Kevin Durant and Steven Adams chipped in with 16 points each and Anthony Morrow added 14 off the bench.
The Wolves never seemed to be in the game as they trailed by 18 points after the first quarter and fell behind by as many as 24 at one point, before chipping away at the Thunder lead in the second half.
With about eight minutes to play the Wolves had cut the lead back within striking distance at 95-84, but they could get no closer as the Thunder put the game away in the closing minutes.
Andrew Wiggins and Shabazz Muhammad led the way in the loss for Minnesota, each contributed 18 points. Thaddeus Young chipped in with 16.
The Thunder dominated the Wolves on the glass 47-31. The effort included 16 offensive rebounds creating a lot of second chance opportunities for the Thunder, who shot better than 50 percent from the floor.
The Wolves (5-17) host the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday evening at Target Center.
