It was a competitive game in the first half from Target Center, but Warriors guard Klay Thompson shot Minnesota out of the game, dropping 19 fourth quarter points, and leading Golden State to a 106-93 win over the Wolves.
Thompson finished the game with 30 points on 11-of-21 from the field, and Warriors forward David Lee added 22 points and 15 rebounds to pace Golden State.
Prolific guard Stephen Curry, who Golden State drafted seventh overall in 2009, left early with a bone bruise of his leg and posted just five points.
For the Wolves, an up-and-down shooting night once again came back to haunt them, as they fired just 38 percent from the floor.
The Wolves were outrebunded 49-40, and also turned the ball over 19 times, while their bench was outscored 27-13.
Kevin Love led Minnesota’s stagnant offense, posting 25 points and 16 rebounds, and Ricky Rubio had another tough night from the field, shooting just 2-of-8.
The Wolves are off until Friday, a 7 p.m. tipoff against visiting Dallas.
