The Minnesota Wild took a 3-1 lead into the third period but three unanswered goals by the St. Louis Blues led them to a 4-3 loss that snapped their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday night.
The Wild grinded through the first period before Jonas Brodin put Minnesota on the board with his seventh goal of the season. Coming out of the intermission with the lead, Joel Eriksson Ek gave the Wild a 2-0 advantage 32 seconds into the second period with his 16th goal of the year.

Mike Hoffman got St. Louis on the scoreboard with a power play goal midway through the second period but the Wild quickly got their two-goal lead back with Marcus Foligno’s eighth goal of the year.

The Blues made their move in the third period when Hoffman scored his second power play goal of the game to make it 3-2. With the Wild nursing a late lead, a turnover by Matt Dumba led to Jordan Kryou’s 11th goal of the season and a tie game at 3-3.

Robert Thomas scored the game-winning goal for St. Louis with 23 seconds remaining and the Blues scored their third straight victory over the Wild.
The Wild (31-13-3) will look for revenge when they host the Blues Thursday night.
