On Friday evening the Timerberwolves announced they have relieved several front office employees including General Manger Milt Newtown and VP of Basketball Operations Rob Babcock.
Assistant Coach Sidney Lowe was also relived of his duties, as were a quality amount of other front office staff members, according to Derek James of 1500-ESPN.

This move to relieve Newton and others has come from Head Basketball Operations and Head Coach Tom Thibodeau and Scott Layden and not necessarily Glen Taylor.
Newton was hired as the Wolves GM in September of 2013. After Layden was announced as GM on April 27th, Timberwolves owner Taylor told ESPN.com that Newton would stick around for the draft and free agency.
Jon Krawczynski of AP Sports says Newton worked closely with the late Flip Saunders on bringing in such players as: Shabazz Muhammad, Zach Lavine, Karl-Anthony Towns and Gougi Dieng.
