If you’re a fan of both Timberwolves basketball and screaming, well there’s a job for you.
The Timberwolves are hiring a Special Assistant to the President of Basketball Operations – a.k.a. Tom Thibodeau’s deputy – and the job posting is on LinkedIn.
According to the job description, you’d be wearing many hats in this role:
Conduct and present research projects and evaluations to assist coaching staff in more efficient and effective game plan preparation. Conduct statistical studies and logging of games. Develop video and video edits for coaches to prepare for games and to be used to scout and prepare for games against opponents. Work closely with coaches, P-1 players and front office staff. Act as a liaison between the advance scout and coaching staff on game plan preparation. Support the coaching staff on court in drill work with players.
Those are a lot responsibilities: research projects, video editing, constant communication between the coaches, scouts and players – good luck with all that.
It’s not clear what the salary is, but it is a full-time job, so that’s nice. It’s listed as an entry level position however.
