U.S. Bank Stadium is hosting this year’s Super Bowl, which means the Vikings have a chance to play in the big game in front of their home faithful.
No team from a host city has ever been able to pull off that feat though. And this year’s Super Bowl could instead end up being a nightmare situation for Vikings fans – as the Packers have the best odds in the NFC to make it to this year’s title game, according to Bovada.
Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy is already assuming his team will be in Minneapolis next February too.

The Packers won the Super Bowl during the 2010 season and they’ve been a perennial favorite basically every season since.
But we’re skeptical of Murphy’s prediction.
Green Bay has made the playoffs every year since 2008, but they’ve won just five of their last 11 postseason games since 2011.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers only have one game under their belt at U.S. Bank Stadium. And it’s one they’d like to forget as Minnesota defeated Green Bay last season in Minneapolis 17-14.
Rodgers had a miserable time against the Vikings defense. He completed 55 percent of his passes while being sacked five times, and he was picked off by cornerback Trae Waynes.
The Packers will be at U.S. Bank Stadium in week six this season, and then the two teams meet in Green Bay in Week 17 for the regular season finale.
