Both the Buffalo Bills and the Vikings have endured their fair share of misery over the years. Neither team has won a Super Bowl despite each getting to the NFL’s big dance four times.
Buffalo has fallen on harder times than the Vikings lately, as they’ve missed playoffs for the 16 consecutive seasons. Last Friday, the Bills named Sean McDermott to be the team’s next head coach.
Since the millennium, the Bills have circled through 10 different head coaches but now they’re getting really desperate. First, they named former Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier as its next defensive coordinator, but it doesn’t stop there.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapporrt, Buffalo is also considering Brad Childress to be its next offensive coordinator.
Oh, and don’t forget the Bills had former Vikings enigma Percy Harvin on their roster in 2016. Harvin came out retirement in November but his season was cut short due to – the same thing that slowed him down in Minnesota – migraines.
When you haven’t been to the playoffs in 16 years you’ll try anything. However diehard Vikings fans can probably agree that building a coaching staff that features Brad Childress and Leslie Frazier may not be the best route to take …
