Team records since Aug. 6, the day the Twins got hot and stayed hot

It’s been exactly 40 days since the Twins began changing their season for the better. 

After losing 13 of 20 after the All-Star break, the Twins have surged with a 25-13 record since Aug. 6. Only the Cleveland Indians, who are riding an MLB record 22-game winning streak, have been better.

Technically, the players’ only meeting the Twins had Aug. 1 in San Diego could be credited as the day they turned their season around. Since that day, they’ve gone 27-16. 

Minnesota has 16 games remaining. Ten of them are against the Blue Jays and Tigers and the other six are on the road against the Yankees and Indians.
