It’s not every day you get to stamp your name on something that truly matters.
Vikings center John Sullivan got that chance today at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital.
Sullivan donated $150,000 towards the construction of a new playground at the hospital, which officially opened Wednesday afternoon.
The playground, a much-needed outdoor facility to be used by patients and their families, has been dubbed “Sullivan Playground.”
The total cost was $200,000 with Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway and the Vikings’ Children’s Fund chipping in $25,000 apiece to complete the project.
