The Minnesota Wild fell to the Boston Bruins 3-2 in overtime Wednesday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
It was the second tough loss for the Wild in as many nights; they lost 5-3 to the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.
Loui Eriksson beat goalie Niklas Backstrom in overtime to net the game winner and allow the Bruins to pick up their second victory in December.
Backstrom was playing for the second straight game, because of an illness to Darcy Kuemper.
Boston goaltender Niklas Svedberg was on his game early on. He simply kept the Bruins in the game – stopping 35 shots on the night.
#mnwild trails 2-1 after 2. Outshot Boson 20-5 that period. Being stoned by … Niklas Svedberg

Trailing 2-1 heading into the third period, the Wild tied the game on a bizarre goal from Jason Pominville at the 11:39 mark.
This one is hard to describe, you'll just have to watch Pommer's 7th of the season for yourself: http://t.co/AX6BoJaPXU #mnwild #BOSvsMIN

It was Pominville’s seventh goal of the season, and Ryan Suter picked up his 18th assist on the goal.
The Wild host the Predators on Saturday.
