Flip Saunders has done just about everything in the basketball world with Kevin Garnett. He helped draft him, coach him, bring him back to Minnesota and now he’s relying on Garnett’s mind for the NBA Draft.
In an interview with Chris Mannix on NBC Sports Radio Sunday, Saunders said Garnett has been involved in the draft process – meeting in person and talking on the phone with prospects.
Flip Saunders tells me that "right now" he's the Wolves coach and that KG has been working out and been part of teams draft process.

Towns or Okafor?
NBC Sports still says Jahlil Okafor is Saunders’ favorite, but Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press says Karl-Anthony Towns to the Wolves at No. 1 is all but a lock.
“It looks now that Karl-Anthony Towns of Kentucky for sure will be the Timberwolves’ choice with the No. 1 pick in the June 25 NBA draft,” Walters writes.
Shooter in column tomorrow: "It looks now that Karl-Anthony Towns for sure will be the Timberwolves' choice." Me: Nothing decided. #twolves

Saunders says he remains undecided on who the pick will be.
“We’re still determining. It’s like anything, if I had to make a decision today, you probably have a guy you know you would take. But we are still open,” he told Mannix. “It’s still really early in the process. We’re finding out backgrounds on players. More than anything else, we have a really good nucleus with [Andrew] Wiggins, we look [Zach] Lavine, with [Shabazz] Muhammad and the type of year he had, even with Gorgui Deng. We have to make sure we get a guy who can help grow with those guys and is going to make Wiggins and those guys better.”
The NBA Draft will be held June 25 at the Barclays Center in New Jersey.
