Fewer than 36 hours after Adrian Peterson, Matt Kalil and Sharrif Floyd all had surgeries to repair injuries, hearing news of wide receiver Stefon Diggs missing practice Friday is not what the Vikings need.

Diggs, the leading receiver in the NFL through two weeks, is fresh off a huge game against the Packers where his 9 catches for 182 yards and a touchdown earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award.
Sigh. Can we go one day without bad news around here? https://t.co/ZM0qbLYhpN

Diggs hasn’t been on the injury report at all this week so his absence Friday came as a complete surprise.
