The Vikings have one more game to go before they get a much-needed week of rest thanks to their bye in Week 10, but they might have to face the Lions this week short a few starters.
The same four Vikings who didn’t practice Wednesday because of injuries were again held out of Thursday’s practice: wide receiver Stefon Diggs (rib), linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring), left guard Tom Compton (knee) and running back Roc Thomas (hamstring).
Diggs told reporters on Wednesday that he “absolutely” expects to play this week, but what he’s able to do in practice on Friday, if anything, will go a long way in determining whether or not he’s able to suit up on Sunday.
Running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) has been limited in practice each day this week, as have cornerback Xavier Rhodes (foot), left tackle Riley Reiff (foot) and safety Andrew Sendejo (groin).
Rhodes missed last Sunday’s game against the Saints, Reiff has missed the past three games while Sendejo and Cook have been out for extended periods of time.
