Official kickoff times for five of the seven Gopher football home games next season have been announced by the Big Ten.
Minnesota’s first three games at TCF Bank Stadium are against non-conference competition:
- Thursday, Aug. 30 vs. New Mexico State at 6 p.m. on BTN
- Saturday, Sep. 8 vs. Fresno State at 8 p.m. on FS1
- Saturday, Sep. 15 vs. Miami (Ohio) at 2:30 p.m. on BTN
The Gophers then open the Big Ten schedule on the road against Maryland before returning TCF Bank Stadium for their official homecoming game against Iowa on Oct. 6, with a start time of 2:30 p.m. or 3 p.m.
TV information for the Iowa game is to be determined.
Indiana will play at TCF Bank Stadium for the first time ever on Friday, Oct. 26. Kickoff between the Gophers and Hoosiers is set for 7 p.m. and will be televised on FS1.
And, yes, we were just as shocked as you to find out that Indiana hasn’t played at TCF Bank Stadium since it opened in 2009.
