The Minnesota Wild was relieved to learn Wednesday that Jared Spurgeon’s lower-body injury isn’t as serious as it looked. Head coach Mike Yeo says his young defenseman is day-to-day after being checked head-first into the boards by Colorado’s Cody McLeod. Yeo says he is “surprised and very disappointed” that McLeod wasn’t suspended.
