Vikings general manger Rick Spielman says the team has “no intent” to trade receiver Percy Harvin.
Spielman, according to Fox Sports North, said Harvin “is under contract and we expect him … to be here. “
Spielman’s comments came after a week of reports focusing on Harvin. Some put Harvin squarely on the trading block, others had Harvin holding out for significantly more money than the $2.9 million he’s scheduled to earn in 2013 — the final year of his rookie contract.
As for a CBSSports.com report that said Harvin is more concerned about the Vikings’ style of play (run-first) than his contract, Spielman told reporters that was “between the coaches and Percy.”
