The Vikings sent a shockwave through the NFL by releasing footage of Teddy Bridgewater throwing during the first of 10 organized team activities on Tuesday.
“He did do some drop backs yesterday and was throwing the ball,” Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman said. “Again, very limited on what he’s able to do at this point but it’s progress.”
Despite wearing the practice gear and dropping back to throw, Bridgewater still hasn’t been cleared for practice, according to Spielman.
The video from Tuesday’s practice was actually part of Bridgewater’s rehab assignment. He’s not practicing today because he’s at the doctor to see if he can increase his workload, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

“Just hoping that eventually he’ll be able to come back on the field. That’s still the unknown,” said Spielman. “You almost have to hold Teddy back from doing too much because he’s so diligent with what he’s trying to accomplish.”
“It’s very encouraging.”
Spielman described Bridgewater’s attitude as “very focused, very determined.”
It’s been just under nine months since Bridgewater suffered a season-ending knee injury during a non-contact drill at practice.
