Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert’s season is not over, despite suffering what looked like a possible career-altering injury during Monday’s game against the Timberwolves at Target Center.
The Nets announced Tuesday that LeVert sustained a dislocated right foot that will not require surgery. In fact, he’s “expected to return to full strength and resume all basketball activities without any limitations this season.”
It’s unclear how much time LeVert will need to rehab the injury.
“Fortunately, tests performed this morning revealed that there are no fractures and only moderate ligament damage,” Nets orthopedist Dr. Martin O’Malley said in a statement. “While the optics of this injury may have appeared to be more severe, surgery will not be required.”
LeVert’s appeared to snap in a horrific injury just before the end of the first half Monday night. The injury occurred when LeVert attempted to block a layup attempt by Josh Okogie.

The Wolves went on to win the game 120-113. Had LeVert played the entire game, the result might’ve been different.
