The NHL trade deadline strikes at 2 p.m. today and the State of Hockey has its eyes on the Wild and whether general manager Chuck Fletcher will pull the trigger on a last-minute trade.
Here are the latest rumors:
Eriksson, Nugent-Hopkins, Yakupov
Michael Russo of the Star Tribune says the Wild has talked to Boston about Loui Ericksson, along with Edmonton about forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Nail Yakupov.
The National Post reports that Nugent-Hopkins and Yakupov are ready to be traded, but to which team is to be determined.
Eriksson, 30, has 23 goals and is second on the Bruins with 48 points. According to NHL.com, Boston would prefer to resign Eriksson unless the right offer comes along. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Bruins are a major player today. Working on Hamhuis/Russell…considering Eriksson trade options. Lots of discussions in Boston.

Drouin
TSN’s Bob McKenzie has news that still links Minnesota to Tampa Bay prospect Jonathan Drouin.

Boedker, McGinn
ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun thinks Minnesota’s could be interested in dealing with Arizona for 26-year-old forward Mikkel Boedker. He has 13 goals and 26 assists this season. If a big name isn’t available, LeBrun thinks the Wild could look to Buffalo for a player like 27-year-old Jamie McGinn.
I think if Minnesota can't do a deal for bigger names like Boedker or Drouin they might circle back to Buffalo on McGinn if he's still there

McKenzie also reports that Minnesota isn’t openly shopping defenseman Jonas Brodin, but they are listening to offers.
…MIN isn't shopping him or trying to move him as much as fielding inquiries from teams eager to get 22 year old Top 4 D with $4.16 AAV.
