Karl-Anthony Towns couldn’t miss Wednesday night.
The third-year star for the Wolves set a franchise record with 56 points to go along with 15 rebounds and 4 assists in the Wolves’ 126-114 win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Towns was 19-of-32 shooting, including 6-of-8 from three. He also knocked down 12-of-15 free throws.

KAT scored 26 in the first half and 30 more in the second half, and fans inside Target Center were chanting “MVP” when he reached 50 points.

More importantly, the win puts the Wolves within a half-game of the sixth-place Spurs and the fifth-place Pelicans.
