Vazquez was in the on-deck circle when Donovan Solano hit a foul ball that went straight for Vazquez’s face, only missing him by the grace of the bill on his batting helmet.
Vazquez picked himself up after the scary moment and was good to go and wound up popping out to right field for the second out of the third inning.
