This isn’t exactly the start Minnesota would’ve liked from number 14 overall pick Shabazz Muhammad.
The UCLA star was kicked out of NBA Rookie Transitional Camp Tuesday evening after bringing a female guest back to his hotel room, a violation of camp restrictions.
USA Today reports Muhammad and the rest of the rookie campers were told rules to follow while at the camp just hours earlier. He will have to pay a fine as well as return to the camp next summer along with others that do not complete the NBA’s version of the rookie symposium.
Shabazz is not the first with Minnesota ties to get in hot water at this event. Mario Chalmers, former Wolves draft pick, and Michael Beasley, two-year member of the squad, both were fined in 2008 for having girls and marijuana in one of the hotel rooms.
