The stats for Wolves rookie swingman Shabazz Muhammad aren’t pretty this year.
42 minutes, 4-of-16 from the floor, zero assists, essentially no meaningful playing time.
Spurred by the need for Muhammad to get more game action, the team’s obvious lack of need for the UCLA alum, and Chase Budinger’s impending return from another knee surgery, President of Basketball Operations Flip Saunders announced on KFAN 100.3 today that Muhammad will go play for the Iowa Energy, the Timberwolves developmental league affiliate.
Flip tells @DanBarreiroKFAN on Funkadelic that Shabazz is headed to DLeague & he'll go with him.
