The Minnesota Lynx saw their season come to an end as the Seattle Storm completed a three-game sweep with a 92-71 loss on Sunday afternoon.
The Lynx were once again without Sylvia Fowles due to a calf injury which opened up the paint for Breanna Stewart. The Storm star was dominant on Sunday, putting up 31 points, six rebounds and seven assists to help Seattle dominate from the opening tip.
Down 24-12 after the first quarter, the Lynx attempted to battle back on the strength of Napheesa Collier. The second-year forward had 22 points and 15 rebounds and had a hand from Damiris Dantas, who had 16 points and seven rebounds.
Still, the Storm was able to keep Minnesota at an arms length. Sue Bird chipped in with 16 points and nine rebounds as Seattle put Minnesota away in the best-of-five WNBA semifinal.
Despite the loss, the Lynx finished the season with a 14-8 record and have a young core in place featuring Collier and reigning rookie of the year Crystal Dangerfield heading into 2021.
