Miguel Sanó launched three home runs to help the Minnesota Twins defeat the Chicago White Sox 5-4 on Tuesday night.
The Twins began the night with the major league debut of Bailey Ober. The right-hander got off to a rough start, allowing a solo home run to Jake Lamb in the first inning.
The White Sox continued to pounce on the rookie in the third when Yoan Moncada drove in a run with an RBI double. Things got worse when Yasmani Grandal drove in Moncada with a two-run homer to give Chicago a 4-0 lead.
But Sanó took over the game beginning with solo home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. With the Twins down 4-2 in the eighth, Sanó hit a 412-foot bomb to right-center to tie the game at 4-4.

The Twins turned to their bullpen, which was further depleted when Tyler Duffey and Rocco Baldelli were ejected for throwing behind Yermin Mercedes in the seventh inning.
After the Twins took the lead on Sanó’s home run, Taylor Rogers kept the White Sox off the board in the ninth inning before Jorge Polanco delivered a walk-off double to earn the victory.
The Twins (14-26) will wrap up their series with the White Sox on Wednesday afternoon.
