It may be early in spring training but Twins slugger Miguel Sano is off to a slow start in Fort Myers. Sano has collected just 1 hit. And there’s this:

Strikeouts have been an issue for Sano ever since he debuted with the Twins in 2015. Last season, he set an MLB record, striking out 221 times in his first 150 games.
Sano is well aware of the problem but he believes he’ll be able to cut down on the swing-and-misses as he matures into a more patient hitter.
During warmups on Friday, his teammate Jose Berrios was asked if he could strike out Sano and the 23-year-old interjected that, “Everybody can strike me out.”
He’s shown the ability to draw walks as he’s averaged 54 walks in his two seasons at the major league level. Hopefully when Opening Day arrives, Sano can show he’s indeed ready to cut down on the strikeouts.
Last season the Twins struck out 1,426 times which was the sixth-most in all of baseball.
