The Minnesota Vikings’ newest quarterback Sam Bradford has spoken from the first time since his shock move from the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 28-year-old sat down with Vikings.com(which you can watch here) after arriving in Minnesota this weekend, and the first thing he did was to pay tribute to his fellow quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, whose cruel ACL tear and dislocated knee led to Bradford’s move west.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Teddy,” he said, saying his injury was “something I could relate to” having suffered an ACL tear himself in 2014. He added that he’d been “hearing nothing but good things” about Teddy.
“He’ll be back in no time,” he added.
The 2010 Rookie of the Year also said he’s “excited to be here,” adding that “I’m anxious to get in the playbook and start learning the offense.”
“The past 12 hours finding out I’m going to be here, it’s been a little crazy,” he said.

“Adrian’s a great player. When I was at Oklahoma it was my first year and Adrian was someone I really looked up to. We were in the same workout group that summer and I remember watching his work ethic, the way he approached the game and handled himself, he set the bar for everyone in Oklahoma.

“We go way back. He was OC when St. Louis drafted me and was with me in Philadelphia last year. We have a great relationship, we’ve spent a lot of time with each other. I think he knows me really well as a player and as a quarterback, what I like.”
On what’s next
“I’m going to get into the playbook as soon as possible and start talking to the coaching staff about how we’re going to work this offense. I’m really excited, I can’t wait to get out there and get after it.”
