New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees has done a lot of incredible things in his career, the most recent of which came Monday night against Miami, passing former Vikings QB Fran Tarkenton for sixth all-time on thecareer passing list.
Brees came in to tonight’s battle of the undefeateds just 63 yards shy of Tarkenton’s mark of 47,003 yards, and moved by the former 18-year pro on an 18-yard completion to wide receiver Kenny Stills on the Saints first touchdown drive of the game.
Next on the list? Another former Viking, Hall of Famer Warren Moon who started 39 games for the Vikings in three seasons. Moon will likely be passed up this season as well, as he entered the night just 2,385 yards ahead of Brees, who has thrown for over 4,000 yards in seven consecutive seasons.
Brees is second in career passing among active QBs, trailing Peyton Manning by just under 14,000 yards, while trailing Manning in age by three years as well.
