The Minnesota Timberwolves held off the Miami Heat 102-101 on Wednesday night at Target Center.
The game marked the return of Ricky Rubio to Target Center for the first time since an ankle injury forced him to miss 42 games, early in the season.
The Wolves led through the entire first half, but Miami overtook them with a big run in the third quarter. The Wolves answered back in the fourth and held on to win when Gorgui Dieng grabbed the rebound prior to the final horn sounding.
Kevin Martin knocked down four three-pointers and scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Wolves. Thaddeus Young added 16 points and Dieng and Nikola Pekovic each chipped in 13.
Rubio continued his impressive play in his return from the injury. He scored 8 points, dished out 9 assists and had a pair of steals in just 23 minutes, for the Wolves.
