Timberwolves star Ricky Rubio will two more games this week as the team takes on the Jazz in Utah Wednesday and Nuggets in Denver Thursday, the Pioneer Press reports.
Rubio missed Saturday’s game at Target Center against the Phoenix Suns with back spasms.
Wolves coach Rick Adelman said Tuesday that Rubio will be getting treatment the next three days and may be ready for Saturday when the team takes on Portland at Target Center. He added that he did not want to push Rubio and have “something else go haywire.”
Rubio returned to the Wolves lineup Dec. 15 for the first time since his season-ending knee injury last year. The second-year guard spent nine months of recovering from a major surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL.
The Wolves are 14-13 coming off their 111-107 victory Saturday against the Suns.
