When it comes to Rob Refsnyder, the word that is being tossed around is “legendary.” On Tuesday night, that legend grew as Refsnyder went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and a diving catch to help Minnesota defeat the Baltimore Orioles 7-4.
After the Orioles got on the board in the second inning with a Cedric Mullins two-RBI single, Jorge Polanco celebrated his return to the lineup with his fourth home run of the season.

After the solo blast put the Twins on the board, Refsnyder padded the lead with an RBI double and later scored on a wild pitch to fuel a four-run inning.
After the Twins and Orioles exchanged runs in the fourth, JosĂ© BerrĂos ran into trouble in the fifth. The right-hander’s night ended after striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings but Refsnyder got the Twins out of the inning with a diving catch off the bat of Mullins.

Alex Kirilloff smacked a sixth-inning double to give the Twins a 6-3 lead but Alexander Colomé allowed a solo home run to DJ Stewart in the eighth to make it 6-4. That cleared the way for the legend himself to add an insurance run.

Refsnyder’s second home run of the season put the Twins ahead 7-4 and allowed Taylor Rogers to close out the ninth to give Minnesota their 14th straight win over the Orioles.
The Twins (19-29) will go for the sweep when they close out the series on Wednesday afternoon.
