The Timberwolves return to Target Center tonight to take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
Even with Wolves All-Star Kevin Love back in action, Minnesota went 1-3 on the road.
The Associated Press says Love has double-doubles in all five games since his return on Nov. 21, but he’s coming off his worst shooting effort. Love went 3 of 12 from the field Wednesday, finishing with 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 101-95 loss to the Clippers.
The Wolves may be getting a little more help soon with the return of Ricky Rubio. After undergoing major knee surgery in March, the point guard was cleared for full-contact practices Wednesday. The team has not set a definitive date for his return.
The Pioneer Press reports Brandon Roy, who’s had seven knee surgeries during his career, offered Rubio some advice.
“I just told him to be patient with it, not just during the rehab but even when he comes back and starts playing. I told him he can’t get down on himself. There will be times when you feel it’s not there, but it will come,” Roy said.
Roy is sidelined for at least a month following knee surgery on Nov. 19.
