The Minnesota Timberwolves finally won a road game and finally beat the Los Angeles Clippers. The Wolves came away with a 108-102 victory Wednesday night at Staples Center.
1. Streaks snapped
Minnesota’s victory ended a couple of long streaks. First it brought an end to a 12-game road losing streak for the Wolves. Their last road victory came Dec. 20 at Barclays Center over the Brooklyn Nets.

It also snapped the Clippers streak of 14 straight wins over Minnesota.
2. Wolves make third quarter run
The Wolves used a 14-0 run in the third quarter to take control of the game, building a 10-point lead. This nifty little pass from Ricky Rubio to Karl-Anthony Towns seemed to give Minnesota the jump they needed

By the way, Towns finished the game with 17 points and 12 boards good for his 26th double-double of the year.
3. Wiggins back-to-back 30 point nights
No one played better in Los Angeles than Andrew Wiggins. The Wolves second-year guard posted his second straight 30 point night. He led Minnesota with 31 on Wednesday, just one night after putting up 30 against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.
It’s the second time in Wiggins’ young career that he’s posted back-to-back 30 point games.
