The war of words between Jerry Rice and Randy Moss went up a notch today.
Rice — clearly irritated with the controversial ex-Viking — said in a news conference “I never took plays off and always gave 100 percent.”
Moss — now a backup receiver with the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers — rocked Super Bowl media day (Tuesday) by claiming he was the greatest receiver of all time. On Wednesday, he repeated his claim, telling reporters: “You make your own judgement … I am the greatest … next question.”
How do they really compare? Stats wise?
Dozens of news outlets are running the numbers. The Star Tribune, for one, contends the numbers just don’t add up … for Moss.
