“He’s a freak,”said Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes, describing Adrian Peterson’s work ethic to get back on the field.
Rhodes was on with SiriusXM NFL Radio Tuesday and everything he said about Peterson would indicate that Peterson is doing a lot better now than he was two months ago after he tore the meniscus in his left knee.
“He’s taking his rehab seriously. That’s why he bounces back so fast,” Rhodes said. “He’s serious about his rehab, he’s doing it at an intense level. Seeing him today was like, I don’t think you’re supposed to be doing all of this right now. But it’s Adrian Peterson. He’s obviously not human.”
ESPN reported earlier this week that Peterson could return to the field in mid- to- late-December. If that’s the case, he could play in the final two or three games of the regular season.
If Peterson does make it back this season, maybe the credit should to Michael Jordan. Peterson met Jordan seven weeks ago and said it was a “powerful encounter” at a pivotal period of his life – and he absorbed Jordan’s energy.
