The Minnesota Twins have reportedly added a veteran outfielder to compete for a roster spot in spring training.
According to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick, the Twins have signed outfielder Drew Stubbs to a minor-league deal.

The Twins have not confirmed the deal yet.
Stubbs, 31, is an eight-year MLB veteran, who has played for the Reds, Rangers, Rockies, Indians, Braves and Orioles. He’s had some productive seasons in the majors where he has been a .244 lifetime hitter with 92 home runs, 283 RBIs and 161 stolen bases.
There is no guarantee that he’ll make the Twins’ big league roster. In fact with Max Kepler, Robbie Grossman, Byron Buxton, Eddie Rosario and Danny Santana he might even be a long shot.
But if he’s able to regain his 2014 form he could help Minnesota. That season with Colorado Stubbs hit .289 with 15 home runs, 22 doubles and 20 stolen bases.
