The Twins had until noon Friday to avoid arbitration with five players and they were able to come to terms with three of the five.
According to the Pioneer Press, infielders Eduardo Nunez and Eduardo Escobar and relief pitcher Casey Fien all agreed to one-year deals.
Third baseman Trevor Plouffe and reliever Kevin Jepsen did not reach deals, so they’ll enter arbitration hearings in February.
A 60-percent raise for Plouffe would be $7.68 million.
A 65-percent raise: $7.92 million.

Escobar earned just over $500,000 last season but a career year in which he hit .269 with 12 home runs and 58 RBI boosted his new salary to $2.15 million, the Star Tribune reports.
Starting pitcher Tommy Milone agreed to a deal before reaching arbitration on Thursday.
