Just when you thought the smoke had cleared and the talks had quieted down there is another report out today indicating the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers are still discussing a trade involving Brian Dozier.
Los Angeles was the team most interested in Dozier during the Winter Meetings last week, but talk quickly faded as the meetings drew to a close and Dozier remained with Minnesota.
But that doesn’t mean the two teams have quit discussing it.

Dozier is coming off a career season that saw him hit 42 home runs while the Twins struggled. Twins Chief Baseball Officer Derek Falvey has maintained that the team isn’t looking to trade Dozier, but he remains Minnesota’s biggest trade chip.
Falvey has also said the Twins are looking for young, salary-controlled pitching – an area that certainly faltered as Minnesota lost 103 games last year.
ESPN 1500’s Derek Wetmore notes Los Angeles has a lot more pitching depth than the Twins do. In addition to Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill the Dodgers have big-money starters and some promising youngsters on their staff.
