It’s been known for some time now that the Gophers men’s basketball team would host a marquee team in a game at U.S. Bank Stadium next season, and now the word is out on which team it’ll be.
It’s not Kentucky, Kansas, Duke or North Carolina, but it is the Oklahoma State Cowboys of the Big 12 Conference, according to Marcus Fuller of the the Star Tribune.
KSTP’s Darren Wolfson confirmed the report on Twitter, adding that the game will be played some time in December, and could feature another local college team the same day.
Think it's now out that it's Okla. St. 😁, Big 12, as expected.

The game will serve as a test for the 2019 Final Four at U.S. Bank Stadium next April.
Oklahoma State went 21-15 last season and has routinely finished in the middle of the Big 12 standings the last six seasons.
The Gophers went 15-17 last season, losing 14 of their final 16 games.
