Adrian Peterson will once again feature in the NFC North, after signing a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
That’s according to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, who are reporting the Vikings legend is headed to Michigan after being cut by Washington.
Despite his advancing age, the 35-year-old has still managed to rush for almost 2,000 yards in the past two years.
A return to the North will see Peterson face his old team twice in the 2020 season, at U.S. Bank Stadium on Nov. 8, and in Detroit on Jan. 3.
The future Hall of Famer is 5th on the list of all-time rushing yards with 14,216, and needs another 1,054 to overhaul Barry Sanders.
