It might be safe to stop thinking about Kyrie Irving in a Timberwolves uniform next season.
According to the Star Tribune’s Sid Hartman, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor is not going to allow Andrew Wiggins to be traded to any team, much less the Cavaliers for Irving. Instead, Taylor expects to sign Wiggins to a maximum contract extension of five years and approximately $150 million.
Darren Wolfson reports that an offer has been made to Wiggins and his agent is expected to review it this month.

Wiggins, 23, averaged a career-high 23.6 points per game last season and he’ll be pair on the wing this season with All-Star Jimmy Butler.
