As soon as Ricky Rubio was traded to the Utah Jazz, the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to come to terms with free agent point guard, Jeff Teague, according to Chad Hartman.

Teague’s name has been in the rumor mill, mainly connected to the New York Knicks, but as Darren Wolfson points out, Teague is a year younger than Kyle Lowry and much, much cheaper.
Do remember this on Teague: can go shorter on deal, and save $$ compared to Lowry. Allows them to booster bench that much more. #Twolves

The Knicks have abandoned their hopes of meeting with Jeff Teague, league sources say, convinced Teague has already committed to Minnesota

Teague averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.8 assists with the Indiana Pacers last season. In terms of providing a threat from 3-point land, Teague shot about average (35.7%) last season. He shot 40.0% from deep in 2015-16.
More to come.
