If the report from Yahoo! Sports is correct, the Timberwolves are about to give restricted free agent center Nikola Pekovic $12.5 million a year for four years.

Sources tell Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune that a deal with Pekovic is no closer than it was late last week.
“Yahoo!Sports reported the Wolves were getting closer to a four-year, $50 million deal to sign Pekovic, but I’m told by a source with knowledge of the negotiations tonight that the Wolves are no closer to a deal and still are waiting to hear back on an offer they made last Friday.”
Fully expect Wolves and Pekovic to get a deal done, eventually. Both sides want it. Understand why Pek may want to wait it out a bit tho
