Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph are a nice trio of targets for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, but why not improve an already good situation?
That’s what the Vikings are trying to do, apparently, with wide receiver Kendall Wright in for a free-agent visit, according to ESPN’s Field Yates and Ben Goessling.
Wright, a first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2012, played five seasons with the Titans before joining the Bears in 2017, where he racked up 59 receptions for 54 yards and 1 touchdown.
His career numbers are pretty impressive: 339 catches for 3,858 yards and 19 touchdowns, and he’s done that catching passes on teams that haven’t had great passing attacks.
Pro Football Talk considers Wright one of the better remaining free agents.
Minnesota could use another veteran wide receiver to add to the depth behind Diggs and Thielen. Currently, the third receiver appears to be Laquon Treadwell, followed by Stacy Coley and Cayleb Jones.
